“No”
A Poem by Madison Stewart
No,
She said it once again yet they did not seem to understand,
Her words became slow and her tongue froze.
No,
She knew no more what she had to show,
She felt as though she had a lack of airflow.
Her body becomes numb,
Her head felt dumb.
No,
She laid there, eyes closed until it was over,
They would not listen to her though.
As she awoke, she felt her body was revoked,
She lay there on the cold kitchen floor, having no one to call for.
She cried for a while,
Then walked up the steps to her home,
She hated this lifestyle.
